End Of The Rainbow
This is a warm, inviting, orange-colored collage. An old painting on canvas covered with torn pieces from old sketch books, diaries, and paintings. Taking and repurposing the old on top of old to create something sparkling fresh. As elements are added and torn away, modern perspectives takes shape altering history. By bringing together these seemingly disparate fragments; a composition is formed that is far greater than the sum of its parts. This piece could not have come to fruition without the gifts from the past. All the work, mistakes, experiments, and struggles were necessary to get to this point. Could this be a case of art imitating life?
